Join QBuild for an exciting career opportunity as a Senior Supervisor to provide a high level of supervision and support to QBuild staff and contractors performing a range of activities including project planning, product delivery, contract supervision and client management. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities. About the role You will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by providing exceptional project management, ensuring client satisfaction, and maximising project profitability. Duties and skills involved: Strategically planning and executing projects by optimising workforce capabilities, enhancing subcontractor performance, and ensuring the efficient allocation of critical resources such as equipment, depots, and fleet assets. Implementing proactive project governance through advanced work order management strategies that track performance, ensure service excellence, and align project delivery with industry best practices, cost controls, and time efficiencies. Optimising regional resource deployment to maximise efficiency in the construction, maintenance, and upgrade of infrastructure while ensuring full compliance with legislative, policy, and regulatory frameworks. Providing high-level strategic oversight of construction, maintenance, and upgrade projects to drive operational excellence and long-term infrastructure resilience. Leading contract management for major and complex projects, ensuring the seamless execution of construction and engineering contracts through rigorous supervision and risk mitigation strategies. Strengthening client relationships through a strategic engagement approach, leveraging negotiation, transparent communication, and program alignment to consistently meet and exceed stakeholder expectations. Embedding a culture of safety and compliance, integrating best-practice human resource strategies, employment equity, and workplace health and safety principles to foster a high-performance work environment. Driving business growth and service innovation by identifying emerging trends in asset management, proactively promoting QBuild's offerings, and capitalizing on opportunities to expand service capabilities. Building a high-performing workforce through proactive leadership, continuous performance optimisation, and fostering a culture of accountability and professional excellence. Preferred skills and experience: Thorough working knowledge of building construction and maintenance legislative and regulatory requirements, principles and practices and contract procedures.
