Apply now Job no: 697746Work type: Fixed Term - Full TimeLocation: MelbourneCategories: Accounting & Finance Your Impact You will support tax compliance and consulting for Asahi Beverages Group, including preparing direct and excise tax deliverables, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tax processes, and providing technical advice on a wide range of direct and indirect tax matters. This is a 12-month fixed term contract Key responsibilities Prepare and lodge income tax returns for entities across Australia, NZ, the USA, and UK. Assist with controlled foreign corporation calculations, hybrid mismatch analysis, and ATO compliance. Resolve tax queries, ensuring compliance and escalating issues when needed. Support tax system improvements and use of data analytics. Prepare excise and customs tax reports, including reconciliations and training. Contribute to month-end tax calculations and statutory accounts. Provide tax advice on M&A, TOFA, hybrids, thin capitalization, and other matters. Stay updated on tax legislation and manage audits and risk assessments. Ensure compliance records are audit-ready and manage tax risks. About You Experience in tax, preferably in large firms or corporates. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines. Desire for continuous improvement and personal development. Knowledge of financial systems (e.g., SAP). Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, tax, or law.
