A valid driver’s license is essential for this position.Your Role As a Senior Psychologist, you will provide high-level expertise in psychological assessment, intervention, and case management, particularly in complex cases, within the multi-disciplinary team.What you’ll do Provide expert consultation to staff regarding offender mental health and risk management (including sexual and violent offender assessment). Provide regular individual and/or group supervision to Psychologists where required, ensuring high standards of service delivery and professional growth. Deliver direct psychological interventions for complex cases, leveraging your expertise to address challenging needs. Preparing advice and consultation to community corrections. Support professional training and development initiatives for Psychologists. Ensure thorough and compliant documentation on the Offender Integrated Management System (OIMS) and in psychology files for all offenders receiving psychological services. What we’re looking for Proven expertise in correctional psychology, particularly in assessing and treating mental health issues, cognitive impairments, and behaviour management. Strong understanding of contemporary correctional principles relevant to psychological assessments and interventions. Expertise in criminogenic risk assessments, especially regarding sex and violent offending. In-depth knowledge of ethical and legal obligations in psychology practice. Demonstrated ability in supervising and mentoring Psychologists. Essential requirements Minimum four-year accredited qualification in psychology with full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Eligible to be a Board Approved Supervisor (BAS) supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia. Current driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout NSW.
