About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Psychologist for a new Service Director role in Newcastle! This is an exciting position and an opportunity to develop your skills across a range of activities with a supportive multidisciplinary team. Your role as the Service Director will require you to: Provide strategic clinical leadership, oversee a dedicated team and be directly responsible for the management of clinicians and administration staff. Take responsibility for the clinical direction of the Intensive Pain Program, its evaluation and dissemination of findings to stakeholders. Provide individual psychological assessment and treatment. Monitor and interpret financial indicators and budgets for the Directors. Management of quality and governance. Development and maintenance of appropriate policies. Provide high quality evidence-based clinical care within the designated scope of practice. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by monitoring services and practice. The role is well suited to a professional who is passionate about and experienced in providing leadership in health care coordination, staff and patient engagement, group programs, and supervising and supporting staff to effectively manage performance and professional development. If you are an experienced Psychologist, highly motivated, and seeking to use your excellent management, clinical, group work, and training skills, this is the role for you! A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a clinician, be outcome-focused and have experience in managing and supervising others. Strong ethical practices. Sound clinical skills and delivery of evidence-based best practices. Experience in an area of practice such as chronic pain, chronic disease management, or within a hospital environment with a multidisciplinary team (desirable). Experience in working with comorbidity. Able to achieve KPIs. Good inter-personal and liaison/networking skills. Good communication and empathy skills. Current NSW driver's license and transport. Have MS Office skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and Outlook. You must also have or be willing to get a Working with Children Check and National Police Check. Eligible to work permanently in Australia.
