They are looking to bring on board a permanent Supervisor/ Service Manager to help lead their team of skilled engineers and technicians in Sydney. Defence Industry - Maritime Specialist HVAC and Refrigeration Sydney location Your new role Mould and manage a close-knit team of experienced engineers and technicians in this specialist marine & industrial HVAC business Organise and manage the day-to-day business operations of technical staff Scheduling and general technical support of service team as well as assisting and supervising service team onsite Ownership and management of sustainment / maintenance projects Working with technical sales to ensure jobs are completed on time and on budget Focus on implementing, utilising and improving operational processes to streamline operational activities and ensure quality outcomes Management of all resources and assets to ensure optimal efficiency, and forecasting of requirements to ensure continuity Participation in every stage of the sales process, from enquiry through to invoicing Key client management and customer service engagement at the highest level Ensure all operational documentation, including service reports & quality documentation etc are developed and presented in the most professional way Prepare reports, budgets and expense schedules, and analyse for variances and trends that create risks or opportunities for the department Recommend corrective actions and strategies to ensure the department is operating at peak efficiency & performance Actively seek, engage and maintain customer relationships Be the central point of communication for all client technical enquiries and job requisitions Perfect for an enthusiastic and ambitious person wanting to further their career. What you'll need to succeed Trade Qualification - Cert III in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Current Refrigerant Handling Licence Full unrestricted Australian work rights with the ability to pass a Police check and gain Defence clearances Technical background and experience in a relevant field combined with experience supervising Ability to create a good plan out of nothing, and determination to accomplish goals Good data analysis, planning and organisational skills Be able to provide direction, empathise and understand, create a team environment and bring out the best in their staff within a medium sized team of different trades Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word & SharePoint) and above average computer literacy Drive, energy and a practical approach are essential What you'll get in return Opportunity to work on large sustainment and service project work Growing opportunities for personal and career development and sincere investment to help you achieve your best.
