The Role In this role you will be responsible for a team of up to ten technicians that have either an electrical or mechanical trade qualification so a strong understanding across both fields is highly valuable. You will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis so a strong relationship management and leadership mindset is exactly what we are looking for. Key responsibilities: Ensure all site service employees comply with company procedures and regulations Ensure compliance of site maintenance agreement Ensure servicing is on time and up to date Ensure repair work is carried out efficiently to minimise machine down time Develop additional business within the port operation Contribute to service jobs where work or support is needed Continuously learn about new equipment Supervise technical team to ensure effective utilisation of client's equipment Supervise all site human resource issues and ensure compliance with all site and company regulations Develop technical workforce as in line with business development needs Compliance with site service and operating budget Prepare investment budget in line with operating budget Provide regular and timely financial reporting to Services Director Provide regular and timely personnel utilisation reporting to the Services Director Requirements: Mechanical / electrical engineering tertiary qualification or; Formal trade qualification (mechanical / electrical) Must have leadership experience within a mechanical or electrical industry Experience with cranes in the mechanical handling, port or industrial operations industry sector Previous experience in using a computer-based service and or maintenance management system Ability to plan efficient service execution Exceptional people management skills Project management Knowledge in operating to a budget Knowledge in maintaining an investment budget Knowledge in maintaining spare parts inventory Next Step If you are a motivated leader with a passion for achieving results in a timely manner and you have the desire to join a dynamic team, we would love to hear from you.
