We are actively seeking a multi-skilled Shotfirer / MPU Operator to work a 7/7 day shift only roster (12hr days).Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will join our established team and act as a senior member. Core accountabilities include: Safe and efficient surface shotfiring operations Safe and efficient operation of our Mobile Processing Units (MPUs) Carry out pre-starts Regularly carry out workplace Take 5’s Attend toolbox discussions Contribute to a respectful and inclusive work environment About you Experience in operating MPU’s in an open cut environment Experience in shotfiring operations in an open cut environment essential Demonstrated experience working in the drill & blast industry Experience using both Non-Electric and Electronic Blasting Systems (desirable) Unwavering commitment to safety and efficiency Ability to work well within a team and unsupervised Good communication and interpersonal skills What you need Current HR licence highly desired - open manual's licence essential QLD Shotfirer’s ticket highly desired QLD Security Clearance for handling explosives Current QLD Coal Board Medical (or willing to obtain) Standard 11 (or willing to obtain) National Police Clearance (Less than 3 months old or willing to obtain) Relevant RII competencies (RIIBLA201A & RIIBLA203A) highly regarded Trainer and assessor qualifications highly advantageous What we offer Permanent, full-time position at the Jellinbah mine site in the Blackwater region 7/7 day-shift only roster - 12 hour shifts Accrue long service leave under Coal LSL!
