MPU Operator/Shotfirer - 7/7 Day Shift 12hrs Mackay & Central QLD - Greater Gladstone & Central QLD Casual $50.00-$60.00 p/hour Job Details MPU Operator/Shotfirer Based in Blackwater area About Client Our Client has a broad international presence operating in and exporting explosives and services to more than forty countries globally. With more than 20 years of experience in blasting services in both open-pit and underground mining, operating nationally across Australia, providing services across multiple commodities including iron ore, gold, and coal. The company services the market with a fleet of Mobile Processing Units, five state-of-the-art emulsion-manufacturing facilities and a fast-growing 300+ strong workforce. What You Will Be Doing: We are actively seeking a multi-skilled Shotfirer/MPU Operator to work a 7/7 day shift only roster (12hr days). Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will join our established team and act as a senior member. This role would suit someone that is eager to develop as a Trainer Assessor! Core Accountabilities Include: Safe and efficient surface shot firing operations and operation of our Mobile Processing Units (MPUs) Carry out pre-starts, Take 5s, and attend toolbox discussions Conduct bulk product quality tests as required About You Experience in operating MPUs and shotfiring in an open cut environment Experience using both Non-Electric and Electronic Blasting Systems (desirable) Demonstrated experience working in the drill & blast industry Unwavering commitment to safety and efficiency Good communication and interpersonal skills What You Need Current HR licence QLD Shotfirers ticket QLD Security Clearance for handling explosives (SSAN or willing to obtain) National Police Clearance (Less than 3 months old or willing to obtain) Current QLD Coal Board Medical (or willing to obtain) Standard 11 (or willing to obtain) Relevant RII competencies (RIIBLA201A & RIIBLA203A) highly regarded What's In It For You? 7/7 day shift only roster, 12-hour shifts Camp accommodation provided Supportive, friendly leaders within a great working environment Apply Now Click on the apply now button or for more information please contact: Email: Job order No. 7203J202553667 About WorkPac WorkPac is Australia’s largest privately owned workforce solutions business.
