Location: WA The reason for this role: Based at the site office, the Site Health & Safety Advisor will be integral in the daily management and administration of health and safety requirements onsite. Your typical tasks will include daily monitoring of all workers including contractors' work activities, managing site access including inductions, inspections, audits, training, as well as verifying compliance of work against approved safety management plans and systems of work. What you will be doing? Provide daily supervision and assist in coordination of contractor’s work activities. Inspect worksites to ensure that all works have the required HSE documentation in place such as permits, JSEA, and SWMS. Ensure all workers are trained and competent for the work they are doing. Provide HSE leadership and direction to the project. Provide HSE advice and support to the site project team. Promote safe working behaviours and culture. Ensure safety rules are understood and followed. Establish and manage the health, safety and environmental management systems at the site that are required to deliver the project. Ensure obligations are being met in relation to WHS acts and regulations. What does your background look like? Certificate IV in Occupational Workplace Health & Safety. Current First Aid and CPR. OHS Construction White Card. Driver’s licence. Safety Consultation Training. Lead Auditor in OHS Management systems / Internal Audit. ICAM Training (Lead). 3-5 years’ experience in Wind, Power, or Construction Industry. Onsite contractor management experience including establishment and administration of site safety management systems. Auditing and reporting on Contractor performance. Preparing and writing detailed reports. Investigating and reporting safety incidents. Working on large scale construction projects. Working with and around large-scale lifting operations. Experience implementing safety training programs. Sound knowledge of the relevant state Occupational/Workplace Health and Safety Acts and Regulations.
