$82,658 – $96,062 per year + 12% superannuation The Site Supervisor Construction is a member of the City Construction team and is responsible for the delivery of civil construction projects for Council. This position is a hands-on role in which you will supervise a team to deliver the works program. The general types of works delivered by the Site Supervisor Construction, but not limited to, include road rehabilitation and reconstruction works, drainage works, kerb and channel projects, footpath and cycleway works. These works are undertaken on Council and the States road network and through privately owned property. This exciting role will: Ensure works are undertaken in accordance with relevant WHS legislation and council requirements. Ensure high quality of works in accordance with appropriate specifications and Council requirements. Independently planning and scheduling of complex works with minimum supervision of Construction Works Coordinator. Maximise staff performance by coaching, onsite training and recognising training and development needs. Control the use of Council and contract plant and labour on site to ensure optimum utilisation and safety. Actively manage the budget for individual projects by capturing daily costs and reporting regularly to the Construction Works Coordinator on the financial progress of the project. Ensure quality assurance is applied to the works such as density and UCS testing, level control and work as executed drawings. LET’S HEAR ABOUT YOU You hold minimum Certificate III in a field relevant to local government civil construction activities or demonstrated extensive experience in civil construction. Have a current NSW Construction induction card or equivalent and a Class C drivers licence. You are driven to achieve the best possible outcome, always thinking outside the box. Stand out from the crowd with your previous experience in a supervisory role in a successful team. Your commitment to quality assurance is evident, ensuring a high standard is always undertaken. Passion for developing and maintaining trusting and cooperative relationships with employees, customers and suppliers. Previous experience within Civil Maintenance or Civil Construction will demonstrate your ability to operate items of plant and read and interpret plans for works. Having experience within a similar position displays your ability to undertake quality assurance testing. Supervising and managing construction projects, including controlling costs and actively managing budgets by capturing costs and providing financial progress reports, will see you stand out from the crowd. Commencing salary set in line with skills and experience, with annual reviews available to support movement through the salary range. Industry-leading 12 percent superannuation. Enterprise Agreement pay increases apply. Adverse Working Conditions Allowance. To and From Work Vehicle. Ability to participate in 35-hour 4-day week trial. Long service leave after 5 years.
