The Smart Factory MES Product Manager is a liaison between IT and the Operations/Engineering organization and will have overall responsibility for driving the transformation of the current manufacturing process to the MES and digital environment to deliver Industry 4.0 solutions to deploy digital manufacturing capabilities. This leader serves as a single point of contact to the Operations/Engineering team identifying technology and translating the current manufacturing process into the MES digital platform, support the Automation Strategy, and accountability for solution design and project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Lead the transition to MES and digital manufacturing processes. Collaborate with plant teams to model production processes in the MES system (order/material management, quality control, maintenance, etc.). Act as the product owner of global Smart Factory MES projects, ensuring smooth adoption across ConvaTec sites. Create and deliver MES training to shopfloor teams. Work with IT and business teams to integrate MES with IoT, SCADA, and automation systems. Oversee MES solution design, implementation, and project delivery. Foster a culture of innovation and talent development within digital manufacturing. Skills & Experience: Extensive knowledge of MES platforms (e.g., Apriso, Critical Manufacturing). Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and data integration. Product management experience, including full lifecycle management and Agile methodology. Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Experience managing global MES projects across diverse regions. Qualifications: Degree in Engineering or related field. 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on MES or industrial software. Hands-on experience with manufacturing operations and Industry 4.0 implementation. Knowledge of regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, ISO) and global MES integration.
