As a key player in the Network Automation Delivery Team, you'll design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge automation solutions that streamline Planning, Provisioning, and Assurance for transport networks. Your work will drive efficiency, reduce manual processes, and elevate the performance of our network. Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for network planning, provisioning, and assurance workflows, ensuring scalability and seamless integration with existing infrastructure. Work with automation platforms such as Ansible, PAM, NOC Tools, and Cisco NSO, developing scripts and internal tools to enhance automation capabilities. Collaborate with DevOps teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, streamlining continuous integration and deployment of automation solutions. Partner with network engineers, security teams, and third-party developers to align automation solutions with Optus' infrastructure, cybersecurity, and architectural standards. Provide ongoing support for automation systems in production, troubleshooting issues, conducting maintenance, and driving continuous improvements. Document development processes and participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives, ensuring automation solutions remain maintainable and aligned with best practices. Your skills to pay the bills: Three to five years of experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on Python for backend automation. Hands-on experience with network automation tools such as Ansible, PAM, Cisco NSO, and other SDN platforms. Proficiency in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline development, version control with Git, and automated testing. Strong understanding of network technologies, including IP routing, Carrier Ethernet, and transport networks. Experience working in Linux-based environments with containerization tools such as Kubernetes and Openshift. Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to optimizing workflows and improving system scalability.
