Solicitor - Banking and Finance Litigation Are you looking for a hands-on role in a boutique commercial litigation practice with a focus on banking and finance? We are working with a specialist firm based in Sydney, seeking a solicitor to join their growing team. About the firm The firm is a boutique banking and finance firm with two partners and a dedicated team of lawyers and support staff. We act primarily for non-bank lenders on all aspects of security enforcement and handle a range of complex commercial disputes, including property-related matters. Our work regularly involves court proceedings in the Supreme Court of NSW and the Federal Court of Australia, with some matters extending to superior courts in other states, such as Queensland and Victoria. The Role You will be an integral part of the practice, working directly under one of the partners with direct mentoring and feedback. Key responsibilities include: Drafting and issuing legal notices. Preparing court documents and managing litigation matters. Attending court appearances and handling general case management. Providing advice and supporting external administrators (e.g., receivers, liquidators, and voluntary administrators) with discrete court applications. Client-facing work, building and maintaining strong relationships. Your Experience and Skills We are looking for a solicitor who is: Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to take on responsibility. Interested in banking and finance litigation and commercial disputes. Comfortable managing competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
