As a Solution Architect, you will create and implement scalable, efficient solutions that align with our organizational goals, architecture principles and enhance our technology landscape to ultimately create seamless digital experiences for our students, staff and academics. In this role, you will consider yourself technology agnostic and specialize in designing and managing solution architecture including corporate systems, infrastructure and security with a focus on cloud solutions. Your expertise will span across various platforms and corporate systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance to support our strategic initiatives. Day-to-day accountabilities: The Solution Architect is responsible for maturing business capabilities by influencing the technology decisions and challenging the status quo. The role acts as an advisory to the institute and is expected to evaluate and recommend technologies to optimize and secure our digital landscape ensuring a thorough approach to solution architecture design. The role will contribute to the evolution of an architecture practice for the university. Accountabilities include but are not limited to: Solution Architecture : Bring extensive experience and best practice to how we approach Solution Architecture to enable the delivery of quality outcomes and solutions for our organization. Solution Design and Implementation : Formulate and implement architecture designs that support long-term business objectives and adhere to our architecture principles and practices. Technology Evaluation and Selection : Assess and recommend technologies to modernize our solutions and underlying technology and create efficiencies through automation as we aim to reduce and eliminate technology debt. Governance and Best Practices : Champion architecture governance and security measures across all systems. Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with product, technology and business leadership to design end-to-end solutions that enhance student, staff and academic experiences. This is a full-time permanent position with flexibility to work from home or from a campus near you. Who you are You bring over 10 years of experience in corporate systems, infrastructure, and cloud technologies. Your expertise spans a range of platforms, and you are adept at designing solutions that align with organizational needs. Technical Depth and Breadth : Extensive experience with multi-cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), various corporate systems, infrastructure and security. Architecture Knowledge : Deep understanding of microservices architecture, security configurations, and integrated hybrid architectures. Familiarity with common architecture frameworks. Experience gathering technical requirements, solutioning and producing quality technical designs. Strategic Thinking : Ability to develop and execute long-term strategies for cloud and infrastructure alignment with business objectives. Problem-Solving : Strong analytical abilities with a record of delivering innovative solutions. Why join us?
