Kennedys is recruiting for an experienced Special Counsel with 8+ years' PQE to join our dynamic, close-knit, and team-oriented Healthcare practice, managing a mix of complex healthcare and medical malpractice files across a range of clients, including medical defence organisations (MDOs). We are looking for a genuine team player who can develop and maintain excellent client relationships by successfully executing marketing/business development and training activities. Clients: Medical defence organisations Medical practitioners Private hospitals Medical practices Allied health professionals Cases: Healthcare Medical malpractice Who We Are Looking For: At least 8+ years of post-admission experience in medical malpractice and healthcare work, preferably in Victoria. Demonstrate first-rate legal/commercial knowledge with strong technical and research skills. Ability to draft, advise, and negotiate in relation to both straightforward and complex matters. Running own caseload with minimal supervision. Ability to mentor junior lawyers, graduates, and paralegals.
