Job Description

Forty Four Degrees is looking for a Special Counsel lawyer to join our team. We have thriving litigation, commercial, property, family law, wills and estates, and criminal practices with a focus on personalised, straightforward, and quality services to clients. We have offices in Ballarat and Melbourne CBD. What we're looking for You will be an independent practitioner with a minimum of 7 years PQE, with skills and experience in at least one of our practice areas. You have a track record of excellence in your usual practice areas with a focus on client outcomes, proportionality, customer service, and communication skills. You will ideally have started building your own practice, with a client base and referral network, as well as the ability to take on our existing clients and files. You will not be required to do any direct managing of staff; however, you will have experience and skills in teaching younger lawyers, growing their skills, and working with them collaboratively on files. Remuneration Remuneration will be calculated with a base rate of pay plus commission on funds received over budgets and KPIs.
