Speech Therapist (0.2 to 1.0 negotiable) - Ed Support Level 1-Range 5 Job posted: 31/01/2025 Job type: Full time / From 24/02/2025 - 19/01/2026 Organisation: Schools (Government) Salary: Salary not specified Occupation: Health and Allied Health Reference: 1463700 Role SC1 Development and delivery of a comprehensive speech pathology service and a capacity to work across all areas of the school with students who have moderate to severe language delays and concerns. SC2 A sound knowledge of speech pathology techniques and the ability to develop, provide and evaluate speech pathology services and provide speech advice on appropriate intervention strategies. SC3 Demonstrated ability to administer appropriate language/speech assessment and provide advice to staff and families on program delivery and follow up. SC4 Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with a range of professionals, teachers and parents on service delivery and student-based issues. SC5 Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the Speech Therapy Assistance Program. SC6 Ability to design, deliver or broker professional learning, preferably for teachers and other relevant professionals, in the area of language and communication. Responsibilities As a member of the leadership team within a school/s responsible for the management of the following: Management of recruitment policy and procedures. Management of the development and delivery of professional development programs within the school/s. Management of the development and implementation of human resource planning, strategies and guidelines. Management of the delivery and quality of professional student support services involving multi-disciplinary functions e.g. therapist, psychological and social work services. Provision of expert and authoritative advice regarding workforce planning for all school operations and services. Management of the school/s budget and financial performance.
