Sr. Process Engineer, AMZL APAC Engineering The goal of Amazon Logistics is to build a world class last mile operation. Amazon Logistics aims to exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring that their orders, no matter how large or small, are delivered as quickly, accurately, and cost effectively as possible. The Amazon Logistics (AMZL) team is looking for a Process Engineer to join the Australia Engineering team. In this role, the Process Engineer will support the standardization and optimization of our Last Mile delivery network to meet safety, customer experience, productivity, quality, and cost goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the optimization of AMZL Delivery Stations by continuously driving process innovations, developing safe & efficient equipment, and creating infrastructure design standards. This role involves continuous communication with local functional business owners and technical Engineering teams at a worldwide level. This position is based in either Sydney or Melbourne and requires regular domestic and international travel (approximately 25% of work time). Key job responsibilities: Develop and improve Amazon Logistics equipment/processes to enhance safety, customer experience, capacity, speed, quality, and cost goals. Initiate, define, plan, and manage the rollout of product features and enhancements for the next generation of AMZL Delivery Stations. Present concepts, designs, program updates, and roadmaps to senior leadership on a frequent basis. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Integrate new equipment designs, process improvements, safety enhancements, etc., into standard designs. Lead multiple high-priority projects that involve management and influence of stakeholders from multiple functional areas and regions. Lead the site selection and evaluation process by drafting test fit layouts and site-related information to identify any relevant issues that impact the economic or operational value of a site. Prepare specifications and technical details to fully define the requirements on building environment, equipment, material, process, and services. Review all technical documentation such as building layouts, traffic plans, flow diagrams, conveyor and equipment layouts, installation details, schedules, and budgets to ensure they meet requirements and are clear before issuing to contractors. Actively involve in cross-functional infrastructure projects, providing technical input and conducting value engineering/value analysis. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, or technology. 5+ years of experience managing and being responsible for multiple large projects. Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.). Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, systems, and high-speed manufacturing. Experience with benchmarking technical equipment and metrics. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree. Strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment. Experience in Logistics, Distribution, or Fulfillment processes. Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma, and other operations engineering tools.
