Queensland Health (Organisation site ( ) )Redland Hospital, Cleveland The Bayside Health Service Medicine Department are looking for a Staff Specialist - Geriatric Medicine to join their committed team at Redland Hospital. Redland Hospital is the major health centre for Redland City and Brisbane’s southern bayside suburbs. We provide care in a number of specialties including general medicine and surgery, cardiology, emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, orthopaedics, renal dialysis and paediatrics. About the Role Provide high quality clinical services in Geriatric Medicine, Geriatric Rehabilitation and Geriatric Assessment in a range of settings (Acute hospital care, Subacute care, Community, ACAT and residential aged care) at Redland Hospital. Provide education to Medical, Nursing and Allied Health as well as Students and interested Community Groups. Establish and lead a positive and collaborative interdisciplinary work environment to achieve high quality, person centred care. Actively participate in quality activities including patient safety, audit, research and service planning activities for the Departments of Medicine at Redland Hospital. Utilise high level communication skills to guide a team of clinical staff of various ages, skills, and knowledge, mediate concerns and facilitate problem-solving between various stakeholders, counsel patients, and appropriately and sensitively manage complaints from both staff members and patients.
