Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist - Rehabilitation Medicine The Department of Geriatrics & Rehabilitation is looking for a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist, Rehabilitation to join their team. The role involves providing high-quality clinical services within the Department of Rehabilitation & Geriatric Medicine at Logan Hospital, covering both inpatient and outpatient care. It also includes supporting and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, which may involve educating community groups. Additionally, the position requires active participation in quality improvement activities such as education, patient safety, audits, research, and service planning for the department. About the Role In collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, provide a high-quality service in rehabilitation (or other roles as requested by the Directors of Rehabilitation & Geriatric Medicine) to both inpatients and outpatients of the Logan Hospital. Maintain up-to-date specialist college mandated requirements and demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development in relevant areas of expertise. Liaise and work effectively in a professional manner with clients and their carers and family, other health professionals from different disciplines, students and external agencies to achieve a client-centred approach, utilising negotiation and conflict resolution skills as required. Foster a culture of interprofessional collaboration and leadership through understanding the role and the roles of others in the interprofessional team leveraging this knowledge to establish and meet client goals and inform service direction.
