About the role The Stakeholder Manager plays a key role in delivering the Make Every Day Matter Strategy by leading engagement projects that promote road safety and strengthen relationships with the Victorian road user community. You will proactively identify, assess, and manage stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring key outcomes including greater community understanding and ownership of road safety, prevention, and recovery are achieved. Success in this role means developing, delivering, evaluating, and reporting on impactful engagement projects and programs that drive meaningful change in road safety awareness and behaviour across Victoria. About the Team This role is part of the Partnerships and Community Engagement branch within the Community division, which is dedicated to engaging, educating, and influencing the Victorian community and stakeholders to foster a safety-first road culture and achieve the best outcomes for TAC clients. You will work under a supportive Team Manager who values autonomy, allowing you to approach your work in your own way. You will be part of a close-knit team that embraces shared responsibility and steps in to help whenever needed. What we’re looking for Project Management and Engagement Experience Proven project management skills with tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Education, or Health Science/Prevention. Knowledge of road safety and associated intervention strategies will be highly regarded. Proactive stakeholder Engagement Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop, maintain, and proactively manage engagement with key stakeholders, including internal teams, local government, road safety partners, emergency services, and community organisations. You will have well-developed negotiation, influencing, and advocacy skills to drive program success. Advanced Communication Skills Exceptional verbal and written communication, including strong report writing skills. You will showcase the ability to translate complex technical information for non-technical audiences and confidently draft briefs, reports, and approvals as part of your role.
