United Wambo Joint Venture (UWJV) is a 50:50 joint venture between Glencore and Peabody who have developed a brownfields expansion that combines the new open cut at United with the existing open cut at Wambo. The UWJV is a Glencore managed operation producing up to 10 million ROM tonnes per annum. Reporting to the Supply Coordinator, and as an integral member of the Commercial team, the primary purpose of this role is to efficiently perform all purchasing and stores functions, including but not limited to: Creating purchase requisitions Creating purchase orders Purchase order and requisition amendments Expediting purchase orders Goods receipting Operation of mobile plant You will be proactive in your approach to continuous improvement, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Analyzing, monitoring, and reporting on anomalies and discrepancies within the procurement process will be a critical part of this role. Experience with SAP purchasing and warehouse functions is essential, as well as a sound knowledge of purchasing and procurement practices and previous experience in a supply and warehousing role. You will have experience with Microsoft Office applications, be well-organized, and demonstrate strong relationship-building skills. This role requires an individual who can drive compliance with processes, challenge non-conformances, and be proactive in their approach.
