As a result of continuous national growth, LAI Group is seeking a Structural Processing Manager to join our team at our manufacturing plant in Adelaide (Ferryden Park) within our Structural Processing department. We would like team members who are excited about the opportunity to build a stable, rewarding, and lucrative career with us. Schedule Full-time A 38-hour week (Monday – Friday + reasonable overtime). Salary (Negotiable - Experience, knowledge, and ability will be taken into consideration). The Position The Structural Steel Processing Manager will be required to manage and oversee the structural steel processing process. The Processing Manager will be responsible for managing the health and safety of the department and implement appropriate controls to manage machines and rosters. Key Responsibilities Oversee unloading of structural material, yard material, traceability, and location. Must ensure all appropriate quality documentation and checks are utilised and actioned as required. Ensure the procurement for steel is managed and coordinate with the appropriate parties. Maintain communication with the Structural Steel Workshop Manager on the status of their project and address any issues or concerns. Ensure a smooth project transition from Structural Processing to Structural Fabrication and Welding. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard and the workshop. The Candidate Experience in a manufacturing process environment. Lead a small to medium size team. The ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks. The ability to learn and maintain a high level of detail. Excellent organisation and time management skills. Troubleshoot to identify successful solutions when problems arise. Work within a team environment and achieve timeframes. Desired Competencies Qualified Mechanical Engineer. High risk licence (forklift). Leadership training and/or experience leading a small team.
