Role Overview: The Student Experience Innovation Manager is a new role with primary responsibility for implementing the recommendations of the Student Experience Strategy for both new and existing products delivering on 3 key ambitions: Improve student experience in the immediate term as the College embarks on significant change and growth. Modernise pedagogy to deliver an innovative teaching and learning experience for current and future students. Harness technology to effectively engage with students and support students to achieve their individual aspirations. Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Serve as the primary business owner for student experience projects, ensuring each initiative aligns with institutional goals and enhances the overall student journey. Take accountability for project success, from planning through implementation and assessment. Design and develop the target student experience for new courses and new cohorts of students. Develop a clear vision for each project, defining its purpose, goals, and success metrics. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in line with budgetary constraints. Act as the primary liaison between project teams and key stakeholders (students, academic departments, student services, IT, and leadership). Communicate project vision, progress, and challenges, securing buy-in and support at every stage. Collaborate with student representatives, service departments, and academic staff to gather comprehensive project requirements. Conduct business analysis to determine feasibility and impact, translating student needs into actionable project deliverables. What we’re looking for include (but not limited to): A relevant tertiary qualification and substantial experience in the higher education sector. Strong understanding of student experience strategies and student-centric program design. Experience mapping desired customer journeys and identifying key touchpoints where the experience can be optimised. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
