Job Description

Waverley Christian College is a forward-thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2024. The Wantirna South Campus is seeking an experienced Student Wellbeing Coordinator, part-time (FTE 0.4) to support our male student cohort. You will champion holistic wellbeing, provide proactive health promotion, pastoral care, timely interventions, and counselling across mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual domains. This role will provide one-on-one or group support to our male student cohort to evaluate their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs. In addition to direct counselling, you will support student wellbeing through a variety of tasks such as lunch-time clubs, meeting with parents and teachers, organising external referrals, and preparing talks for parents. You are an ideal candidate if you: Have relevant qualifications in counselling, psychology, social work, or a related field. Have extensive experience in counselling young people. Experience with high-risk young people will be highly regarded.
