Study Coordinator, Liaison Nurse (Day Therapy Unit & Oncology Clinical Trial Unit) Job Summary: The Study Coordinator, Liaison Nurse will play a key role in facilitating communication and coordination between patients, healthcare providers, and clinical trial teams in the Day Therapy Unit and Oncology Clinical Trial Unit. This role requires clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of clinical trial coordination. The Liaison Nurse will ensure the smooth delivery of oncology treatments, including those involved in clinical trials, while providing essential support to patients, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate with Clinical Trial Team to ensure proper documentation and compliance with trial protocols. Monitor patient progress and adverse events during the trial, ensuring proper reporting and communication with the research team. Assist in the preparation of patient data for study reviews and regulatory requirements. Act as the primary liaison between patients and the clinical team, addressing patient concerns, providing education, and ensuring patients’ needs are met throughout their treatment. Coordinate patient schedules, ensuring timely administration of treatments, clinical assessments, and participation in clinical trials. Facilitate the integration of new treatment protocols and clinical trial updates within the unit. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including clinical trial participation, treatment protocols, and any deviations from standard care. Document patient progress and outcomes related to both clinical trials and standard therapies. Participate in team meetings, providing input on patient status and potential challenges in trial protocols or patient care. Ensure that clinical trials and patient care are compliant with institutional policies, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines. Monitor and report any safety concerns or protocol deviations to the clinical trial manager and regulatory bodies. Support continuous improvement in patient care and clinical trial processes through feedback and data analysis. Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) with active state licensure. Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in oncology or clinical trials. Strong knowledge of oncology treatments, clinical trial protocols, and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
