Candidate to be based at La Trobe University Bundoora Campus. Attractive salary commensurate with experience. An exciting new opportunity to establish and manage two Suburban University Study Hubs in Hume and Epping, expanding access to tertiary education in the region. About the Position The Northern Suburbs Study Hub Manager will establish and lead the operations of two Suburban University Study Hubs in Hume and Epping, enhancing access to tertiary education in Melbourne’s North. This dynamic role provides strategic leadership and operational oversight, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, student-centred support services aligned with La Trobe University and government priorities. The Manager will oversee learning support, community engagement, and study facilities, collaborating with education providers and local stakeholders to drive student access, participation, and success in higher education. Skills and Experience To be considered for this position, you will have: Demonstrated strategic and leadership skills, effective engagement and project management skills, and a proven record of accomplishment in designing, delivering, and evaluating projects. Demonstrated experience and expertise in the management of significant human and material resources, or experience and expertise in the provision of strategic advice affecting the direction of the University. Strong leadership skills including the ability to negotiate, motivate, influence, and build relationships. Proven record of developing innovative solutions and practical implementations for strategic change that directly impact and enhance student outcomes and performance. Highly developed knowledge of the higher education environment, including its internal and external drivers, challenges, and performance indicators. Demonstrated capacity to effectively create and communicate new ideas to innovate service provision, promote collaboration within and amongst teams for innovation, and lead continuous improvement with influence. Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in liaising with staff at all levels of an organisation, negotiating effective outcomes, consultation, and facilitation. Proven ability to deal with concepts, decisions, and complex information or situations in an efficient and effective manner.
