Austral Construction is owned by global geotechnical engineering company, Keller Group plc. We are currently seeking experienced Supervisors from a civil background to join our company to assist on a pipeline of projects in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. You will play a key role in the success of our company by discussing the status of projects, identifying and resolving problems, and ensuring the client is kept knowledgeable and up to date about the current state of works. Main duties will include (but are not limited to): Supervision and coordination of all civil construction activities, including earthworks, concrete structures, roadways, rail, and utilities. Monitor construction progress, ensuring it aligns with the project schedule and quality standards. Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to resolve any technical issues and ensure project objectives are met. Effective programming of daily works according to project compliance with all relevant legislation, specifications, regulations, and standards. Ensure that plant, equipment, staff, and subcontractors operate within safe working conditions and ensure that all operations meet the environmental, safety, and legislative requirements. Be positive and proactive in their approach to the coaching, mentoring, and training of staff. Maintain accurate records of construction activities, progress reports, and any changes to the project scope. Enforce safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team. Position requirements: Ideally a minimum of five years’ experience relevant to large and complex Civil Infrastructure projects. Current Valid Driving License. Hold relevant S44 Appointed Person or Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor as per WA regulations. Strong and proven ability to lead, direct, and manage groups of diverse employees. Positive attitude, accompanied by good oral and written communication skills. Thorough knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and safety regulations. Inductions with BHP, FMG, Roy Hill, and Rio Tinto would be advantageous. Competent in the use of Microsoft Software including Teams and Outlook.
