Job Description

Supervisor – MPS Mechanical Maintenance Copper Smelter, Mines Power Station Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia Ref. No. 24009 Queensland Metals Glencore is currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor within our Mines Power Station department. Reporting to the MPS Superintendent, you will be required to effectively co-ordinate and supervise a team of mechanical personnel carrying out maintenance, project and installation work within the Copper Smelter assets. This is a Mount Isa residential position, and you will be required to work in accordance with a 4/3 12-hour day roster. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Ensuring that mechanical maintenance tasks are carried out in a safe and timely manner Management of your crew's performance Manage shutdowns Ability to plan and control maintenance operations to optimise the use of all available resources Conduct regular compliance audits and workplace inspections The ability to build and maintain an effective team through coaching and personnel role modelling You will have the following skillset and attributes: Minimum 5 years Trade experience Ability to run contracting teams and manage small projects Previous experience with heavy industrial fixed plant maintenance S1, S2, S3 qualifications are preferred You will also be able to promote a constructive culture within your team You will have the ability to make decisions, work to deadlines, high level of work quality, exceptional communication skills and strive for continuous improvement For further information, please contact: Leanne Kretschmann on 0439 875 396 Applications close: 8am Thursday, 20th February 2025.
