With the support, guidance, and direction of our National Management team, you'll directly manage your own caseload of participants and play a pivotal role in the recruitment, mentoring, and training of new team members. Furthermore, you'll be tasked with generating new participant referrals to ensure alignment with the team's objectives and growth targets. By driving the referral stream of new participants, you'll contribute to the expansion and success of our team while ensuring that we continue to make a meaningful impact in participants' lives. Additionally, you'll represent Wellspace Australia at networking events and engage with key stakeholders to actively promote our mission and values. Fostering collaborations to support organisational objectives by building and nurturing relationships with stakeholders will be vital for driving business development initiatives and expanding our presence in the region. About the Roles: Support Coordination As a Support Coordinator with Wellspace, you will play an integral role in supporting the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants and their families navigate, activate, interpret, and implement their NDIS Plans. Our Independent Support Coordinators are passionate, experienced and are committed to providing a person-centered and strengths-based approach. We believe that when you focus on someone’s strengths, they can flourish and improve their overall wellbeing. Specialist Support Coordination As a Specialist Support Coordinator, you will provide an expert or specialist approach, necessitated by specific high complex needs or high-level risks in a participant's situation. Specialist Support Coordination is expected to address complex barriers impacting a participant's ability to implement their plan and access appropriate support. Specialist Support Coordinators assist participants in reducing complexity in their support environment and overcoming barriers to connecting with broader systems of support and funded supports. You will be required to negotiate appropriate support solutions with multiple stakeholders and seek to achieve well-coordinated plan implementation. Specialist Support Coordination is generally delivered in an intensive and time-limited period necessitated by the participant's immediate and significant barriers to planning implementation. As a Psychosocial Recovery Coach you will provide coaching to NDIS participants with a psychosocial disability to increase independence, social and economic participation. With specialist knowledge gained through personal lived or learned experiences, your coaching will help increase recovery skills and personal capacity, including motivation, strengths, resilience, and decision-making of our participants ensuring each participant is exercising greater choice and control. Business Development Officer Your role as a Business Development Officer at Wellspace Australia is crucial for our organisation's growth and success. You are instrumental in expanding our business horizons by driving strategic objectives to secure new opportunities and cultivate enduring partnerships. Working closely with the management team, your primary responsibility is to strategically expand our business footprint by forming key partnerships with providers and stakeholders. Your initiatives are aimed at growing Wellspace Australia's presence, generating new referrals, and attracting talented team members. Minimum Requirements: Minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health/Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Psychology or similar. Minimum of two years lived or learned experience in mental health-related work. Minimum two years of knowledge and/or experience of the disability/mental health/community services sector and the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, including working and communicating effectively with participants, their families, community agencies, and other professionals. Ability to meet deadlines in a high-demand work environment using judgment and initiative. Ability to think creatively and use initiative to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in written communication and computer literacy for note-taking, data gathering, report writing, correspondence, and document preparation. Participation in regular supervisory sessions with your manager, actively contributing to various meetings, and attending other mandatory events as required. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of psychosocial disability and recovery practice. Ability to network effectively, attend industry events, and forge new connections beneficial to the organisation. Ability to articulate ideas persuasively, negotiate effectively, and build rapport with participants and stakeholders. Proficiency in cultivating and nurturing relationships with participants, partners, and industry contacts. Capability to think strategically, analyse market trends, and translate insights into actionable plans. Focus on achieving set targets, driving business outcomes, and contributing to organisational growth. Ability to facilitate and coordinate service access. Ability to engage with participants and build trusting coaching relationships that motivate and build capacity. Understanding mental illness's episodic nature and how to plan and maintain service engagement. Ability and willingness to use lived experience of mental ill-health and recovery to provide support (where the person identifies as a lived experience recovery coach).
