Supported Playgroups offer eligible families opportunities to develop parenting skills and confidence, supporting their children’s development. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identified Supported playgroups is specifically for families caring for Aboriginal children aged birth up to 4 years of age, with in-home support being provided to families who meet additional criteria. About You We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of the needs of vulnerable families and children. Alongside this, you will have a passion for achieving positive outcomes for children and families and developing programmed activities to deliver in a Supported Playgroup Session. You will be approachable and share your knowledge and experience with others. Ideally, you will have the following: Demonstrated experience in working and engaging with families and children. Demonstrated experience in the Early Years sector. Demonstrated understanding of children’s developmental milestones. Ability to facilitate child-friendly, culturally rich, and educational playgroup sessions. Ability to work collaboratively with families, internal and external stakeholders. An Early Years qualification (minimum cert III level) in early childhood development/education; social work/community services; health or related field.
