Sustainability and Innovation Manager - DoD In this newly created role, you will use your deep understanding of key sustainability practices, experience and waste and recycling legislation to develop and deliver sustainability strategies for our key national client, the Department of Defence (DoD). Operating from either Sydney or Melbourne, you will be responsible for implementing sustainability programs, contractual requirements, and the delivery of innovative solutions for the DoD across a range of sites and operations around the country. You will also remotely manage two Sustainability Specialists to assist you in the delivery of relevant, impactful and quality solutions to achieve 80% landfill diversion and net zero outcomes. Maintain excellent client/external/internal stakeholder relationships through regular updates, workshops and reporting to develop and align Veolia's team-of-teams with strategic DoD requirements. Exhibit exemplary stakeholder and project management outcomes while anticipating DoD and other stakeholder needs. Manage and implement Veolia's innovation submissions in line with DoD's strategic ambitions. Maintain Veolia's reputation as DoD's most innovative BSC provider. What you'll need to be successful Several years experience and knowledge of key sustainability practices, waste legislation and frameworks and relevant industries. Experience within and an understanding of the Waste industry. Team management experience, particularly if it is with a decentralised team.
