Job Description

Location: ACT, QLD, VIC or WA - Flexible work arrangements Contract Duration: 18 + 12 + 12 month contract Clearance Required: NV1, NV2 (preferable) or PV clearance Our client, a large Federal Government department based in Russell, ACT, requires multiple experienced System Administrators for an 18 + 12 + 12 month contract. Duties Perform and achieve systems administration work within an integrated workforce. Perform routine installations and de-installation of items of hardware and software according to organisation policy and procedures. Provide advice and specialist guidance to colleagues to ensure best use is made of available assets and to maintain or improve the installation service. Contribute to solutions and goals of a non-routine or contingency nature. Design and implement solutions to issues impacting on the achievement of desired outcomes. Solve issues for a defined range of unpredictable problems following established operating policies and procedures. Accountable for installation projects, providing effective team leadership and ensuring the information flow to and from the stakeholder during project work. Selection Criteria Holds a Degree in Computer Science or related field. Proficient in operating systems, networking, database management, and security protocols. Proficient in installing, repairing, and maintaining network systems. Proficient in programming languages.
