Role Type: 12-month part time contract (22.8 hours per week)Salary: $107,589 - $116,464 per annum (pro rata) plus superannuation. The Opportunity The Systems Impact team is seeking a part-time (0.6 FTE) Senior Facilitator to join their national team and expand the reach of key education and learning programs. This role will focus on education and learning design and implementation, as well as co-facilitation (approximately 60% of the time will involve delivery or delivery-related activities, such as preparation). The incumbent will be expected to support the growth of core business, including designing and communicating key messages to promote education and learning offerings. About Your New Team The Senior Facilitator position is situated within the Centre for Community Child Health (CCCH) at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI), specifically within the Policy and Equity Group. This role supports the ongoing development of the Family Partnership Model and associated education and learning products. The Systems Impact team focuses on ensuring that all children thrive in the early years by collaborating with systems, services, and young children and their families to: Redesign services and systems Partner with families and communities Take evidence-informed action The team delivers a range of education and learning workshops and programs, from short online sessions to multi-day, in-house offerings. They work with health, education, and community service staff nationally. They aim to improve child and family service delivery systems and build organisational capacity within an ecological model of child development. Services provided include advice and consultancy, education and learning, facilitation, and mentoring/coaching for external stakeholders. Your Responsibilities Include Co-facilitate online and face-to-face education and learning sessions with other team members and independently. Support the development and delivery of education and learning, including operational and administrative requirements. Liaise with and manage stakeholder expectations regarding the delivery of education and learning products (time/resource/cost implications/risk). Develop and pilot methods/protocols for delivery and lead decision-making. Coordinate and support the Child Public Health Elective for the University of Melbourne’s Masters in Public Health. Support the development and articulation of key messages to promote education and learning products to broader audiences. Identify and manage opportunities for translation at the project level. What We Need From You Advanced facilitation skills and experience designing and delivering (face to face / on-line / e-learning) training. Extensive experience working with the principles and practices of relational practice, including in a facilitation environment/capacity. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience communicating to a wide range of stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in designing and articulating messages with a view to successful product promotion. Confident in project management from developing project plans and bringing a project to fruition within budget and within the agreed time frame showing demonstrated independent judgement and initiative. Experience with the Family Partnership Model (FPM) including certification to facilitate the FPM foundation course is highly desirable.
