About the role As the Transport Depot Manager at Rod Pilon Transport, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient and effective operations of our Melbourne-based transport depot. Responsible for managing a team of drivers and logistics staff, you will ensure the seamless coordination of vehicle movements, delivery schedules, and all day-to-day depot activities. This full-time position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in the road transport industry and contribute to the continued growth and success of our expanding business. What you'll be doing Manage and supervise a team of drivers and logistics personnel to maintain depot operations Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles to meet customer delivery requirements Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations and safety standards Coordinate the maintenance and servicing of the depot's vehicle fleet Analyse operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions Liaise with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues and maintain strong relationships Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans for the depot What we're looking for Extensive experience in a similar transport depot management role, preferably within the road transport industry Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement Thorough understanding of transport regulations, safety protocols, and best practices Proficient in the use of transport management systems and data analysis tools Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders What we offer At Rod Pilon Transport, we are committed to creating a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
