About the role The Commercial & Administrative Law Unit, Office of the General Counsel, is creating a Talent Pool for Lawyer roles, temporary and ongoing, that are anticipated to arise within the Unit. The Lawyer is responsible for the provision of high quality, ethical and professional legal services in areas in which the Commercial & Administrative Law Unit specialises. This includes administrative and judicial review litigation, general administrative law, privacy and open government, government finance, government procurement, general commercial law, real property, intellectual property, Aboriginal land rights, and media law. While the role accommodates the practitioner’s individual specialisation, the Lawyer is responsible for providing legal services across all of the Unit’s major workstreams. Placement in the Talent Pool remains valid for 18 months. There is no guarantee of employment as a result of this Talent Pool.
