Teacher - Secondary - Literacy and Numeracy - Brisbane Youth Education and Training Centre Teach Queensland (Organisation site)Brisbane Youth Education and Training Centre - Metropolitan South Region Brisbane Youth Education and Training Centre has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to join the Vocational Training Queensland (VTQ) team. VTQ is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) owned by the Department of Education operating primarily from the Brisbane Youth Education and Training Centre. The primary purpose of VTQ is to deliver both accredited and non-accredited training to at-risk youth to improve literacy and numeracy skills. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills and experience in delivering literacy and numeracy qualifications to students with diverse learning needs. The ability to develop and deliver high-quality professional learning to staff and create engaging learning materials will be an advantage. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team motivated to achieve results. The position is based at our parent campus; occasional travel is desired but not essential. Applicants for these positions must possess: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (VTQ will consider supporting outstanding candidates with course completion). Demonstrated experience in writing learning and assessment materials focused on literacy and numeracy skills development. Understanding and experience in mapping LL&N courses to VET and school curriculum. Knowledge and experience teaching literacy and numeracy programs to diverse groups. Qualifications or experience in Primary, Maths or English are favourable. A relevant teaching qualification. Current full or provisional registration as a teacher in Queensland.
