CWESH is based at the Caboolture Watchhouse facility and operates under a separate operational model in partnership with the Queensland Police Service and Youth Justice agencies. The hub will educate up to 31 students across a 48-week delivery model. QETC is a multi-campus Department of Education school operating within South-East Queensland's Youth Detention Centres at Wacol. QETC caters to male and female students from across the state who are either on remand or have been sentenced for criminal offences. Campuses of QETC: Brisbane Youth Education and Training Centre West Moreton Education and Training Centre Vocational Training Queensland Caboolture Watchhouse Education Support Hub Wacol Youth Remand Education Support Hub About the Role: Teachers work collaboratively with the Head of Campus and key stakeholders from interdepartmental agencies to develop and effectively implement responsive educational programs that address skills gaps. The curriculum includes a focus on individualized literacy and numeracy learning, as well as the social development of students using restorative practice principles. Successful applicants will be committed to implementing an improvement agenda underpinned by QETC's vision statement: "Unlocking Learning." The ideal candidates will have experience in student-centred learning with the ability to close individual skills gaps, develop language skills, encourage positive behaviours and social skills, and create future pathway opportunities. This role requires working within a Queensland Police Service (QPS) custodial environment , involving direct contact and interaction with young people accommodated in the Caboolture Watchhouse. Due to the interim nature of the hub, permanent Queensland State School teachers should discuss relieving opportunities with their current principal. What is in it for you?
