In preparation for growth and success of our Clinical Services team, we have a newly created opportunity for a Team Leader – Allied Health Care. We are looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist who is passionate about leading a clinical team of allied health professionals. As Team Leader – Allied Health Care you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality allied health care to our community age care customers from Gympie to Rockhampton. Through your effective leadership of a multi-disciplinary team of allied health care professionals, you will ensure the achievement of positive customer and organisational outcomes and the provision of evidenced based allied health services during intake, assessment, and therapeutic intervention. This role is offered as Permanent Full-Time (Monday to Friday), with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements that include working from our Gympie, Hervey Bay, or Bundaberg office and from home. More about the role Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager, you will: Provide daily leadership, management, support and guidance for a team of allied health professionals Provide clinical supervision, team development, and training. Participate in customer care and allied health service delivery in your specific discipline for funding areas including but not limited to Home Care Packages, Commonwealth Home Support Program, and Short-Term Restorative Care. Lead and contribute to team meetings, and multidisciplinary case discussions. Report accurate and timely allied health updates. Ensure the provision of clinical excellence, evidence based clinical care, quality, effectiveness, and high standards of allied health services for Suncare customers. Contribute to operational quality assurance and improvement practices. Provide expert knowledge and consultation, collaborating across operational departments to support teamwork and engagement between teams. Foster a respectful and responsive workplace culture aligned with Suncare’s values with emphasis on quality, continuous improvement, employee retention, and high performance. What you will bring to our team Post-secondary or tertiary qualification in Allied Health and current registration with AHPRA or other professional body. Advanced level of allied health skills and demonstrated experience in community age care health service delivery. Proven ability in the leadership of multidisciplinary allied health teams, including the provision of supervision and the facilitation of allied health review and management of risk for less experienced staff. Demonstrated ability to apply continuous quality improvement principles in service development. Demonstrated experience working with varied stakeholders (e.g. clinicians, non-clinical staff, managers, community members) combined with high level customer service skills and proven track record in building positive relationships and trust. Willingness to use your own appropriately registered and insured vehicle for work purposes and have current First Aid and CPR Certificates.
