We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Team Leader to join our Brightwater at Home Team, overseeing our dedicated team in the southern suburbs of Perth. In this role, you’ll provide ongoing support, training, and leadership to our Community Support Workers (CSWs), working closely with a customer-focused team to ensure the highest quality of care. To be suitable for this role, you must possess: Certificate III in Community Services (aged care/disability/individual support) with experience in providing direct care and support. Strong commitment to providing, with the capability to deliver, safe high-quality care, a dementia care leadership role, and dementia care training. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills that deliver effective leadership, develop inclusive teamwork, and establish successful relationships with diverse groups of people. Knowledge of human resource management principles, including experience in staff recruitment and selection, performance coaching, and training and development. Strong customer focus with the ability to deal with pressure, excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to be flexible and adapt in a dynamic environment, and strong organisational and time management skills. Advanced manual handling skills, with a "Manual Handling Champion certificate" (desirable). Working knowledge of Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (desirable). Experience in working with people with dementia, including those with adverse behaviours (desirable). Experience in working with people with mental health issues and/or illnesses (desirable). First Aid Certificate less than 3 years old. Current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence. A safe, registered, and suitably insured motor vehicle able to be used for work purposes. Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 12 months.
