2 x Full Time Permanent Contracts 37.5 hours per week Join a progressive organisation delivering community-led programs with the Northern Territory's largest Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service. $64,369.50 to $71,955.00 Effective Salary* $82,793 to $91,405 About the role The position of Team Leader ensures the provision of high-quality education and health development services to children within a cultural safety framework. The Team Leader will also work in accordance with National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework based on the Abecedarian Approach Australia (3a) early childhood pedagogy. The position includes program planning, supervising, mentoring and supporting staff to deliver stimulating learning activities and develop strong relationships with children, their families and the community. What are we looking for? Someone with the following role requirements: Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent as recognised by ACECQA (or a certificate III in Childrens Services and willing and eligible to enrol in a Diploma in Childrens Services as recognised by ACECQA within 3 months of commencement). Ability to work as a program lead within a multidisciplinary team. Ability to coordinate teams and program plan working within a cultural framework in health development setting. Proven ability to interpret and apply information about how children learn and develop in practical ways, including a diverse range of positive teaching strategies that meet varying individual learning styles. Demonstrate a working knowledge of the Early Years Framework and an understanding of the National Quality Standards. Ability to contribute as an active team member to all aspects of the functioning of the Child Health and Development Centre and demonstrate leadership in a team environment. Awareness of and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture and history, and knowledge of current issues affecting the lives of Aboriginal people.
