About the role The Facilities Management Team Leader is a key role responsible for driving the effective and efficient delivery of integrated facility management contracts and solutions within the organisation. Through these contracts and with the FM Team, this position ensures that our workplaces and other building assets are functional, efficient, and sustainable, and service delivery aligns with our strategic business goals. In this role, you will lead a small team, providing them with clear direction and development opportunities while managing the operational and strategic aspects of facilities management. Your key focus will be on developing and maintaining the Facilities Management framework, managing service delivery contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. In this 12-month max term opportunity you will oversee the performance of our IFM contract for regional and metro facilities, ensuring assets are maintained to agreed programs, and services are delivered on time and within budget. Additionally, you will oversee safety, risk, and compliance management, ensuring that both internal and external stakeholders comply with industry standards and regulations. This position also involves leading FM-related projects, ensuring that they are delivered within budget, on time, and meet all key objectives. You will provide strategic, tactical, and operational advice to senior management, ensuring facilities are managed to the highest standards, and will report on financial performance and service delivery metrics regularly. In addition, your responsibilities will include: Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day. Develop and maintain the FM Framework, ensuring alignment with SA Water’s needs and policies, and drive continuous improvement efforts. Manage service delivery contracts, ensuring compliance with terms, budgets, and safety standards. Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings. Ensure all facilities comply with regulatory standards, including health and safety, and manage any risks or hazards proactively. Lead complex FM projects from conception to successful completion, managing timelines, budgets, and resources. Oversee the facilities budget, providing monthly expenditure reports and identifying opportunities for cost optimisation. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: A tertiary degree in Business, Property, Construction, Procurement, Project Management, or equivalent experience in FM or asset management. Strong people leadership experience with a focus on team development and performance management. Extensive experience in facilities management or contract management within complex organisations. Demonstrated ability to manage service contracts, budget, and compliance requirements. Strong commercial acumen and strategy-setting capabilities. Certifications or qualifications in electrical, fire, mechanical, or building-related trades (Desirable) To apply, click 'Apply'.
