We are working closely with one of our key government clients to secure an experienced Technical Officer, Service Management.Our client is undertaking a significant capability uplift within its Service Management team with a number of specialist roles being retained to ensure that the area can meet current and future business needs.Reporting to the Project Manager (EUC Refresh), you will work with various stakeholders in proactively delivering service and support to enable team and group goals and outcomes. You will apply your detail-oriented business knowledge and transformational expertise to ensure the project and wider Service Management team achieves its intended benefits and business objectives.What you will be involved with: Conduct analysis of available information and data to draw conclusions and guide options and solutions development and implementation across a variety of domains; Develop current state views and procedures on fleet volume and vendor/model diversity to enable ongoing management and maintenance; Develop current state views and procedures on software licensing and application/version diversity to enable ongoing management and maintenance; Develop current state views and procedures on procurement processes enabled within ServiceNow to enable ongoing management and maintenance; Draft operating procedures necessary to deliver on service and support goals for the project and wider Service Management team; Establish and maintain strong and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including cross-agency representatives, consultants, and contractors, to ensure success. Highly desirable requirements: Substantial experience in IT technical service and support roles preferably within government; Strong ability to converse with both end-users and IT employees at all levels of the organisation; Experience in auditing and managing EUC hardware fleets (including mobile devices), software, and services of a geographically diverse organisation; Experience in development and maintenance of suitable support and service artifacts and documents, such as, but not limited to; support and operations documents, service catalogues, CMDB, and CI shells etc. How to apply: For more information or a confidential discussion please call Nicky Stanway at u&u on 07 3232 9133 quoting reference number 40374.
