About the role As a Soil Technician, you will be required to: Undertake both field and laboratory testing across a broad range of methods, including but not limited to Australian Standards Complete laboratory testing at the required production level Undertake training in test methods Follow procedures directed by the Laboratory Manager Prepare worksheets checking measurements and calculations of test results of other technicians Maintain, clean and test equipment while keeping work area tidy Liaise with internal staff and clients Skills, Knowledge, Abilities and Attitude You will be self-motivated, a fast learner, and bring a positive attitude to the team. We are ideally looking for experienced technicians who possess: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel) The ability to work flexible hours and travel for work when required Strong communication and problem-solving skills The ability to work under pressure, show initiative, prioritize and schedule work The ability to be a team player and work unsupervised Qualifications Minimum of 1 year’s relevant experience Certificate 3 in Construction Materials Testing (preferable) Nuclear License (preferable) or willing to obtain With this said, we are open to receiving all applications, including those without experience if they are eager to learn!
