Protest was established in 2015 and provides a diverse range of services for the Construction Industry. Protest has experienced recent growth across Queensland, Perth, and Melbourne and is now looking for people to help deliver exceptional solutions that meet our clients’ needs and exceed their expectations. About the role As a Trainee Soil Technician, we will require you to: Undertake both field and laboratory testing across a broad range of methods, including but not limited to Australian Standards and Main Road Authority Standards Complete laboratory testing at the required production level Undertake training in test methods Follow procedures directed by the Senior Technicians team Maintain, clean and test equipment while keeping work area tidy Liaise with internal staff and clients Skills, Knowledge, Abilities and Attitude You will be self-motivated, a fast learner and bring a positive attitude to the team. We are ideally looking for experienced technicians who possess: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel) The ability to work flexible hours Strong communication and problem-solving skills The ability to work under pressure, show initiative, prioritise and schedule work The ability to be a team player and work unsupervised Qualifications No experience necessary Certificate 3 in Construction Materials Testing (preferable, not required) Nuclear License (preferable, not required) Why Join Us?
