About the role Terminal Operators at the Mackay grain terminal are critical to ensuring that we deliver an efficient and safe service in exporting and importing grains and other commodities. This includes wheat, sorghum, pulses, stockfeed and other products. The core activities of a terminal operator include rail and road receival, shipping, road outloading, plant hygiene, bunker storage operations and grain assessing, among others. As a member of a multi-skilled work environment, you will be expected to take on other activities within the plant in accordance with training and experience. We provide you with the tools and training required to perform your job effectively and safely. About your experience We’re seeking individuals with the ability/willingness to do this type of work. Candidates will also display: Good communication, teamwork and customer service skills Capacity to work at heights and in confined spaces Willingness to undertake training to obtain fumigation licence and Dept of Agriculture Approved Officer status A great place to get started in the Agricultural industry Full training included You will receive licences and certificates such as - forklift, front-end loader, fumigation, confined spaces, and working at heights.
