ABOUT OUR ROLE: Reporting to the Field Sales Manager - the Territory Manager is accountable for achieving budgeted sales targets through the acquisition of new business and execution of sales strategies, in an existing customer base, predominantly working in the METRO WESTERN area, incorporating a periodic regional run to Nagambie & surrounding towns. Key responsibilities: Sales and Distribution Growth: Achieve budgeted volume, revenue, margin targets. Grow sales and distribution within the existing customer base. Drive new business opportunities through qualified leads, call centre campaigns, and cold calling. Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain long-term, productive relationships with new and existing customers. Maintain consistent communication and timely follow-up with customers and prospects. Meet regularly with customers to understand their evolving business needs and position Lactalis's product solutions accordingly. Sales Strategy Execution: Execute brand and promotional strategies. Adhere to Lactalis's sales processes and journey planning. Manage store pricing, discounts, credits and trading terms. Territory Management: Create and execute a territory sales plan that meets or exceeds established sales targets. Manage and update territory call cycles, ensuring accurate customer details within the company database. Internal and External Stakeholder Management: Work effectively with internal support departments to promote sales and maximize visibility of Lactalis products and services. Meet regularly with Distribution partners to educate them on Lactalis plans and planned territory sales activities. Market Information and Reporting: Provide accurate market information to management that impacts the achievement of core sales objectives and targets. Complete sales activity reporting and presentations in a timely manner.
