About the team: This role is part of the Payments Settlements department, Business Services Group. The Payments Settlements (PS) Department is responsible for the settlement of interbank obligations arising from the exchange of payments in Australia, the conduct of Exchange Settlement Accounts and the settlement of the Reserve Bank's own trading activities. About the role: We are looking for an experienced Test Manager who will oversee the direction and testing delivery of non-functional changes to mission-critical systems within our payments domain, while leading and developing individuals and teams to achieve goals and deliver RBA outcomes. This is a 2-year, fixed-term engagement. Your main responsibilities will be to: Contribute to the broader strategic direction and leadership of the area, sharing accountability with other leaders for overall performance of deliverables and outcomes. Manage the implementation of changes and associated testing of vendor systems such as SWIFT and Sterling. Manage the non-functional testing of changes to RITS, FSS and other PS systems maintaining their high degree of quality, resiliency, and reliability. Lead and develop individuals to achieve area outcomes effectively and efficiently. Oversee the planning, coordination and optimisation of test activities required to deliver regular rapid changes to PS systems. Collaborate with responsible teams to embed, influence and lead change that impacts processes, people, and systems in the department. Your background: Strong people skills to influence, collaborate and communicate strongly with key stakeholders across the Bank and externally. Proven experience being accountable for and successfully delivering key business objectives and outcomes. Extensive experience in the planning, management, support, and testing of non-functional changes to mission-critical systems across various methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc). Demonstrated speciality and innovation in establishing non-functional automation test frameworks and tools. Strong knowledge of payments, banking, SWIFT, settlement systems or similar mission-critical systems. Proficiency with performance testing tools and monitoring tools such as JMeter, AppDynamics, Kibana, Gatling and similar tools. Strong people leadership, coaching and mentoring skills to develop team members. Knowledge and experience working with Agile project methodology, as well as Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery processes, will be highly regarded. Project Management and Testing qualifications/accreditations.
