Direct message the job poster from Informatech Pty Ltd Recruitment Consultant - Testing Services We are seeking an experienced T&E Manager to support a major Defence program aimed at modernising secure information environments for the Royal Australian Navy. This program is focused on delivering a resilient, secure, and scalable Information Warfare Network to enhance decision-making capabilities in complex operational environments. In this role, you will be a senior member of the Test & Evaluation team, responsible for leading test efforts across critical infrastructure and software upgrades within Defence Secret, Protected, Official, and Coalition Environments. You will ensure compliance with security frameworks, conduct rigorous testing of Defence systems, and work closely with stakeholders to drive successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage test activities across multiple Defence environments, ensuring adherence to T&E methodologies and security requirements. Develop and execute Development Test & Evaluation (DT&E) and Acceptance Test & Evaluation (AT&E) plans in line with Defence standards. Conduct security testing, including assessing compliance with the ASD Essential Eight and Information Security Manual (ISM) controls. Oversee privileged access management testing and security validation using Fortinet tools. Perform functional and non-functional testing across infrastructure, networking, and security applications. Collaborate with Defence ICT teams to ensure alignment with established testing protocols. Execute test automation using PowerShell, particularly for Exchange and messaging systems. Manage stakeholder engagement, reporting, and coordination across Defence teams. Travel to Naval base locations to oversee and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on deployed Navy ships. Required Skills & Experience Extensive experience in Defence Test & Evaluation (T&E) methodologies and execution. Previous leadership experience in Test Management or T&E Team Leadership within Defence projects. Strong technical expertise in SOE testing, failover validation, and messaging system testing. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for test automation, particularly for Exchange environments. Experience in security and infrastructure testing, including privileged access and compliance assessments. In-depth understanding of the Essential Eight security framework and its application in Defence environments. Security Requirements NV2 security clearance is mandatory.
