Job Title – Test and Evaluation Engineer Location - Perth Role Summary: We are looking for a skilled Test and Evaluation Engineer to play a key role in the verification of mining Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) projects. You will design, execute, and analyze tests to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of autonomous systems in real-world and simulated environments. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, and scenarios for verifying autonomous haulage systems in mining. Conduct system-level testing, including functional, performance, and safety evaluations. Analyze test data, identify anomalies, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues. Simulate operational conditions to validate system behavior under diverse scenarios. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Document test results and provide detailed reports to support project milestones. Work closely with software, hardware, and systems engineers to refine verification processes. What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or related field) or equivalent experience. 10+ years of experience in test and evaluation, preferably with autonomous systems or robotics. Strong understanding of system verification and validation methodologies. Proficiency with testing tools, data analysis software, and simulation environments. Experience with autonomous vehicle systems, sensors (LIDAR, radar, cameras), or heavy machinery is a plus. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
